This neighbourhood has been family focused since its development in the late 1920s. Many of the homeowners here use the subway to travel downtown to work and this has a positive impact on the housing prices here. This sought after neighbourhood maintains a small town feel with much interaction and community involvement. |

Originally constructed with 2 storey 3 bedroom homes, 2 bedroom bungalows and 3 bedroom semi-detached houses; the neighbourhood has undergone a major transformation in the last 15 years. New ‘infill’ homes are replacing the bungalows and in some cases even the existing 2 storey homes. This development has spawned an increase in other major renovations such as main floor and two storey additions. Prices range from $475,000 to $1,600,000.
Amenities
The Yonge and Lawrence area has several parks and access to Toronto’s ravine and trail system, ideal for all sorts of recreation. Restaurants and cafes are plentiful for those weekend strolls along with a variety of retail on Yonge Street and Avenue Road. In addition the neighbourhood is just 2 exits away on the 401 highway from Yorkdale Mall and its excellent shopping.
